MasterMinds #30458 was officially established with a clear mission: compete in FTC while building a culture of innovation, precision, and continuous learning.
From our first meeting to our first competition, every step has changed the way we build, compete, and think.
MasterMinds #30458 was officially established with a clear mission: compete in FTC while building a culture of innovation, precision, and continuous learning.
We analyzed the game manual, identified scoring opportunities, and developed strategic approaches for our first FTC season.
After weeks of CAD design, material selection, and fabrication, we completed our first working prototype and established a baseline for iteration.
We began developing autonomous routines using computer vision and encoder-based navigation, learning how software and hardware have to move as one system.
Our intake mechanism failed during testing. It sent us back to the drawing board and made failure part of the engineering process.
Our rookie qualifier turned months of practice into real-time feedback. Every match exposed assumptions we could finally test.
Competition feedback drove a major redesign of our drivetrain, scoring mechanisms, and weight distribution.
We introduced FIRST and FTC through a library event designed to make robotics more approachable and interactive.
With a more reliable robot and better systems, our second event showed how much deliberate iteration could change performance.
We're continuing to refine our systems, prepare for our next competition, and find new ways to grow as a team.
